Owner Olivia Romstad
Olivia spent 10 years in her beloved Marine Corps where she did a combat tour in Iraq. After she retired from the Marines she spent 2 years as a US contractor in Afghanistan and 2 years in Iraq supporting the Department of State. She decided to hang her hat up from Government work and move to SC!
She found an adorable shop for sale in the Hammock Shops Village and decided to buy it and create a space that her customers would love coming to. She is a huge supporter of local artists and works created by veterans. She encourages local children to take pictures to turn them into postcards to sell for them. They receive all funds to get them excited to be apart of something.
Olivia is passionate about her opportunity to be apart of the community and loves each and everyone of her customers or "friends" as she calls them. She prides herself on being open and honest with her "friends" and loves to hear all the stories and adventures they have. She stresses to each employee in the shop how important it is to her that her "friends" enjoy their shopping experience and have fun.
We appreciate your support and know that none of this is possible without your continued support. Come down and shop or just make a new friend!
We are a South Carolina business dedicated to selling unique gift items some which are produced by locals. Sweet Home Carolina is woman/veteran owned. We opened this shop to provide another option for ladies who are interested in fashionable plus size clothing. We carry sizes from S-3XL. When you stop by you will also see that the shop attracts beautiful birds and lots of squirrels, definitely a cute place to visit. Come on down south. We can't wait to see you!
